That affiliate is willing to pay you a high commission because they would be a happy to break even on the first product they sell. In fact, many marketers lose money on their first product.
There's a whole science of selling on the backend. The simple part is when someone buys from you and more likely will buy again and again.
So, when you think of selling, it has to be 20 times harder to sell a new customer than an existing customer. And it doesn't matter whether it's on the Internet, China or South America.

A joint venture partner for you would be someone who has a huge list. What you have to discover is what you can do for that potential JV partner.

That's the same question you ask yourself whenever you are buying something. That is what your potential customer is thinking when you try to sell to them.
